The Language of Thorns

The Language of Thorns: Midnight Tales and Dangerous Magic

This lovely cover caught my eye as I was browsing through the bookstore. Language of Thorns contains six short stories and is an interesting read if you are a fan of fairy tales and folklore. The first story about a girl named Ayama got me hooked.

Beautifully written and sets the mood for a late night read.

If someone asks you how you are, you are meant to say FINE. You are not meant to say that you cried yourself to sleep last night because you hadn’t spoken to another person for two consecutive days. FINE is what you say.
This book picked me up, threw me down and got my emotions on a roller coaster. This is a story of Eleanor Oliphant, an enigmatic 30-year-old who thinks she is living a quotidian life. I was deeply moved by the story and wondered how loneliness can convince you to do things that you never dreamt off. At several instances, I could totally relate to Ms.Oliphant. 🌟 🌟🌟🌟🌟IMG_20180512_175843_156
