Started my weekend reading The Hazel Wood by Melissa Albert. I have finished 6 chapters and so far the excitement hasn’t kicked in. So I decided to put this down.
CARAVAL – STEPHANIE GARBER
Can’t believe I read CARAVAL. Honestly, I did enjoy the story and its beautiful setting but was a bit of a drag towards the end. I wonder how it would be if Tim Burton made a movie on this book. πππ
The Chalk Man
βWhat shapes us is not always our achievements but our omissions. Not lies; simply the truths we donβt tell.β
This chilling debut by C.J Tudor was spine tingling, dark, nostalgic and creepy. If you guys are fan of Stephen King’s work, you would absolutely love this one.πππ
Loving Yourself in Style
Loving yourself isn’t about being narcissistic. It’s about being happy with who you are, not being cocky and arrogant and thinking you’re better than everyone else – Shabana Feroze.
I am a working mom with an insane work schedule. Self-care took a backseat 3 years ago and I stopped making an effort to do things for myself ( because of the constant worry of society judging me). This took a toll on my self-esteem and confidence. Recently I began to realise that if I don’t take care of myself, I might slip into the deep dark labyrinth of depression.
I could really relate to this book because of my personal experiences. The author writes about creativity, emotions, fashion and nonsense (I am not kiddingπ).
Great tips on de-cluttering your wardrobe too.
